			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Promark is once again involved with The Big Brew, supporting the charity Spinal Research.</p>
<p>Road racing legend Guy Martin wants us all to have a ‘proper mug of tea’ at participating venues over the Bank Holiday weekend of 4th-7th May 2012, in support of the charity Spinal Research.</p>
<p>All around the UK kettles will be boiling, tea will be brewed and fundraising activities will be underway. A number of partners have signed up so far, from motorcycle dealerships and Hein Gericke stores, to biker cafes, motorcycle owners’ clubs, IAM and individual riders, all with a view to raising money and giving something back.</p>
<p>To make this year’s event even more fun you can enter a <strong>‘grow your own sideburns’ competition. </strong>Male Guy Martin fans might decide to ‘grow their own’ or sponsor a friend, while the girls might decide to design jewelled or painted sideburns, so they can take part too. The winner of the best sideburns as judged by Guy will win a Focused Events track day on the full Moto GP Silverstone circuit at any of their 2012 events.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Motorcycle Industry Association (MCI) has appointed Promark PR to organise and promote Ride to Work Day 2012.</p>
<p>This follows the success of Ride to Work Day 2011, when Promark completely revitalised this annual event with a new website, new contemporary logo, social networking across multiple channels and of course PR and dealer liaison. Promark&#8217;s efforts were rewarded with 51 pieces of editorial coverage including several in the national press such as the Sunday Mirror, News of the World and Metro. Overall the campaign reached more than 10 million people.</p>
<p>Ride to Work Day 2012 promises to be bigger and better than last year, incorporating activities over the weekend prior to Ride to Work Day on Monday 18 June 2012. So watch this space&#8230;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The brand new entertainment venue, G Live in Guildford held the annual SAS Band Christmas show, fronted by Spike Edney, Musical Director and Keyboardist with legendary rock band QUEEN.</p>
<p>Promark is the official press office for Spike’s All Stars (SAS Band) and as such handles all social media, press enquiries, ticket sales and administration for the SAS Band and their UK gigs.</p>
<p>Last weekend’s event was definitely one of the best yet, with guest performances from Roger Taylor (Queen) and Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet fame. A 2,000 strong crowd packed out the Guildford venue and ensured that Christmas 2011 was celebrated SAS style.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Promark was delighted to attend the charity Spinal Research’s recent London reception at University College London. Giving patrons, volunteers and supporters of the charity a chance to understand some of the ground-breaking research undertaken thanks to the support of Spinal Research.</p>
<p>Having worked with Spinal Research on their Ride Out campaign and national events such as Guy Martin’s Big Brew, we were pleased to learn how the funds raised are being put to good use to further understanding of spinal cord injuries and discover new treatments which have been yielding some incredible results.</p>
<p>After a tour of the university laboratories, Spinal Research Director of Research, Dr Mark Bacon, provided an interesting overview of some of the keys points in the research that is taking place around the world.</p>
<p>Promark is pleased to work with such a worthy cause and excited to see how some of this fascinating research will be put into practice in the near future.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Promark PR was appointed to rejuvenate and relaunch National Ride to Work Day 2011, the motorcycle industry campaign to encourage more people to commute by motorcycle or scooter. The day is part of International Ride to Work Day, when riders around the world show everyone what they&#8217;re missing and how their daily commute is more enjoyable, being free from traffic jams and unreliable public transport.</p>
<p>In an intense 8 week period the Promark team created a new and fresh Ride to Work Day logo, built a multi functional website, uploaded content to the site, issued media releases and liaised with third parties who held events around the country. <strong>Activity generated a reach in excess of 10 million people</strong> with extensive radio, national newspaper, specialist motorcycle media and social media coverage.</p>

The innovative Get On campaign offers non riders and lapsed riders a FREE one hour taster session on a motorcycle or scooter. With clear links between the film and client, Promark was able to negotiate a consumer competition to launch the film on The Sun Facebook page, with a Vespa scooter display in West End Odeon cinema, London for the movies opening week.</p>

<p>Promark PR are pleased to be working with Spinal Research to launch their latest fundraising initiative, The Big Brew!</p>
<p>Road racing legend Guy Martin wants everyone to support The Big Brew and have a cuppa over the weekend of 6-8 May 2011 to raise money for Spinal Research.</p>
<p>The charity, which aims to restore function to paralysed people, has a campaign especially for motorcyclists called Ride Out.  Motorcyclists are just one vulnerable group who may suffer paralysis and the campaign allows people who are passionate about motorcycling to give something back.</p>
<p>Motorcycle dealers, bike groups and individuals are holding their own Big Brew events and will raise money for Spinal Research with the great British favourite – a cup of tea!</p>
<p>The Big Brew events will be happening across the country with organisers holding raffles and quizzes and supplying mugs of tea to help boost the fundraising effort. A number of motorcycle dealers will offer demo rides in return for a small donation to Spinal Research.</p>
<p>Anyone who takes part in The Big Brew will be entered into<strong> a free prize draw to win the chance to meet Guy Martin at a race event later this year, likely to be the Snetterton round of the British Superbike Championship in July</strong>. Runners-up will win a Red Torpedo Guy Martin signed t-shirt and a hoodie.</p>
