Promark Director, Shirley Pattison (pictured far right) assisted event organiser Symor Skilbeck with his event the Barry Sheene Memorial Dinner in aid of CLIC Sargent Cancer Charity. The first Barry Sheene Memorial Dinner held over the BSB weekend at Brands Hatch was a great success. Organiser Symor Skilbeck was thrilled that the auction and raffle raised £4350 for the CLIC Sargent Charity, caring for children with cancer and Barry’s chosen charity.

British Superbike, World Superbike and MotoGP superstars were in attendance including MotoGP star Alvaro Bautista, who spoke about his season so far and donated a signed set of his race gloves for the auction. Leon Haslam (pictured centre) and Leon Camier were also among the guests along with Barry’s sister Maggie, her husband Paul son Scott. The evening was brilliantly hosted by Steve ‘Stavros’ Parrish (pictured far left) who also acted as auctioneer and thrilled the diners with hilarious stories of what he and Barry got up to during their time together. Other guests on the night included Barry’s daughter Sidonie Sheene and personalities from the Suzuki company and race team from Barry’s era.
